Cultural Safety Poster Pack

The Partnership for Justice in Health (P4JH) has developed a Cultural Safety Poster Pack to support healthcare services in creating culturally safe, respectful and anti-racist environments. The pack includes a client-facing poster, Culturally Safe Care is a Right, Not a Privilege, and a staff-facing poster, Cultural Safety, It Involves All of Us. Together, these resources promote healthcare rights, encourage culturally safe practice, and support organisations to foster environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel respected, heard and safe.

Free to download and display in healthcare settings. Printed copies are also available on request. Contact us at secretariat@p4jh.org.au.

Need help?

Not sure where to turn after experiencing racism in healthcare, or looking for information about your rights? Our Need Help? section brings together practical information and support services in one place.

You’ll find links to healthcare complaints bodies in every state and territory, human rights and anti-discrimination commissions, reporting pathways for racism, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander legal services, and other organisations that can provide support and advice.

'Know Your Health Rights' Poster

Developed by P4JH, this poster promotes awareness of healthcare rights and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to understand what respectful, culturally safe and high-quality healthcare should look like.

Adapted from the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights, the resource also provides information on where to seek help, make a complaint or report racism.

This poster was previously distributed to hospitals, clinics and health services across Australia—you may already have seen it displayed in your local healthcare setting.
